What type of person are you?
Jan 15th
The more I learn about DISC, the more I am amazed at not only how true it is, but how applicable too.
If you’ve never heard of DISC you may have heard of personality profiling, and if you’ve not heard of that it’s the science of understanding people.
Personality profiling can reveal to you what type of person you are, and you can get a better understanding of yourself, why you are wired a certain way, and also how you can relate to and communicate with others better.
To put things simply, imagine 4 people in a room, one speaks English, one German, one Spanish and one French, and they are all trying to communicate with one another.
How do you think they will do ?
Well, they will get somewhere.. but it’s going to be frustrating! Yes, the letters are almost the same, and some words are even similar, but that’s about it.
Unfortunately with personalities, for the untrained eye, the differences between people is not that clear, after all we’re all speaking the same ‘language’. personalities are more subtle, but more powerful.
For example, one word said to one personality type can result in co-operation while the same words to another type can cause rebellion!
Learning how to recognise, and then adapt to different styles is a key skill, and once taught can remove the “randomness” of dealing with people.
If you’d like to learn more about personality profiling, check out Dr Robert Rohm’s website www.Personality-Insights.com – you can even see what type of person you are!

Are you doing what truly motivates you?
Mar 25th
I usually get asked quite a lot of questions about property.. but a few days ago I received an interesting question…
“You have got an air of charisma around you!, I love your “Serving the people” attitude. I would like to know Mr. Jaiswal, what are you current challenges?”Ghassan
Well.. it got me thinking about my current challenges with people.
In my businesses I work with a lot of people… and sometimes finding what motivates someone is quite a challenge.
Let me give you an example…
The One Thing You Need to Know
Dec 18th
The other day I got onto the phone to my mentor, I was experiencing a small problem with one of the businesses that I run… and after explaining the problem… my mentor said “Just last night I read something that is so applicable to this situation” and he went on to provide the help that I needed.
Amazing ?
Just a co-incidence ? I don’t think so.
Well …. I’ve just had too many of these “co-incidences” to believe that they are just co-incidences.
Can I explain it? Nope!
But I do know this…. Other people hold the key to what you “Don’t Know you Don’t Know”
The book he was reading (and recommended I read) was “The One Thing You Need To Know” by Marcus Buckingaham.
So I went out and bought it.
And IT IS an amazing book.
What I liked best about this book (and I’m still reading it) is that Marcus firmly defines the difference between Leaders and Managers… In fact he throws conventional wisdom in the face and says that “Great Leaders are Born”!
The practical advise is also great and I’ve applied a lot of what’s in the book already to my life and business.
But you know… from my point of view the one thing you need to know… Other People!
